Why?

This is my first page of many to come. I hope this journey will be interesting, innovative, exciting and sometimes even disappointing.

Why?

If you are reading this blog, you are probably “lazy” because you don’t want to solve the problem yourself; you want someone to do it for you. Right? Are you are searching for a solution to your problem since you are sure that somebody else already solved a problem like yours? If you are, you are probably right.

Don’t get me wrong “lazy” is great. If people weren’t “lazy” you could not read this blog from your computer screen.

You are probably familiar with the situation when your problem is so unique, that one of the two will happen:  you won’t find a solution or, even worse, you will find a bad solution.

Therefore, you will decide to solve the problem by yourself. It may take time. Sometimes it can be frustrating. However, when you will finish writing your solution you will have a great feeling. You would share it with the community, but you would be too “lazy” to write about it and this way your great and cool solution would stay only with you.

Now after 10 years in the field I have decided to take a step and write a blog that will contain all my projects. This idea for writing a blog started after a frustrating investigation of the SCOM database. I needed to write a complex query, so, I searched the internet for it, but I couldn’t find it. Therefore, I investigated the SCOM database scheme and I wrote the query that I needed. Problem Solved!

I hope you will enjoy reading this blog.

It will be great to get your feedback.

The next chapter will be about a new MP that I have written lately SCOM Administration Add-Ons.

It is a management pack for SCOM administration. It includes some solutions for frustrating problems.
